Alexa is a designer and a filmmaker. She got the design bug in high school, crafting coffeehouse posters for the Fine Arts Board and re-branding their film program. In college, she fell in love with logo and publication design after a coffee table book project in Typography.

Her films are often female-centered, and explore identity, control, and sisterhood. They have been shortlisted at Flickers Rhode Island FF and selected at festivals like Oak Cliff, Gasparilla, DIFF, and PBS. She hopes they leave you with an aftertaste of hope.

In her free time, you’ll find Alexa journaling on Substack, resurrecting her 8th Grade basketball career, catching up with friends at MiCo’s, or playing with her sassy golden retriever, Ela. She would be a pastry chef or a Neuroscientist in a parallel universe.

Alexa graduated as a Women in Film Suzanne Dooley Scholar from Southern Methodist University with B.A. Creative Advertising and B.F.A. Film Production degrees and Spanish and Graphic Design minors.
